QWhat is the difference between honed and SRB tube?

Both produce a smooth bore, but honing uses abrasive stones while skived & roller burnishing (SRB) combines cutting and rolling. SRB is faster and cost-effective for longer cylinders; honing gives finer control. We supply both.

QWhich grade should I use for a standard hydraulic cylinder?

E355 to EN 10305-1 is a common choice in Europe; 1026 to ASTM A519 is widely used in North America; ST52 to DIN 2391 is also common. The right grade depends on pressure and market.

QWhat ID tolerance and roughness can you hold?

Tolerances and Ra follow the specified standard (e.g. EN 10305-1 h8/h9) and your drawing. Tell us the required bore diameter, tolerance and Ra and we will confirm capability.

QCan you supply ready-to-assemble cylinder barrels?

Yes. Honed and SRB tubes are supplied bore-ready; pre-honed tubes are available when you finish the bore in-house.

QDo you provide large OD cylinder tubes?

Yes, our cylinder tube range covers outer diameters up to about 300 mm with wall thicknesses to 40 mm, subject to grade and process.
